Learn More About Exclusive Energy Savings for the Diocese of Providence

The Diocese of Providence recently signed an agreement with Green Development, enabling all parishes and other diocesan entities to lock-in long-term savings of 30 to 33% on electricity costs.  As a decision-maker for a parish or another diocesan entity, you will be helping to increase the savings rate for all program participants when you opt into the program. There is no upfront cost.

As an eligible nonprofit organization, the Diocese of Providence will be taking advantage of the Virtual Net Metering (VNM) program. The site that will generate energy for the Diocese is on the diocesan property on Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich RI, between St. Joseph’s Cemetery and Route 95. Once completed, the 20-megawatt solar project will generate annual electricity equivalent to that used by 4,000 RI homes.

Once all parishes and other diocesan entities have completed and returned their National Grid forms to Sean Brennan, he will share the information with Green Development and Early Bird Power. Experts from both teams will calculate the savings you can expect to receive when joining the energy savings program and reach out to you with updates.  If you have any questions about the program, please call Jeanne Heston at (401) 250-5094, send an email to save@green-ri.com, or fill out the form below.

We look forward to working with you!
