URI Energy Fellows Program
Green Development embraces the future of renewable energy in every way, including advancing the careers of students pursuing careers in renewable energy. In 2016 Green Development sponsored a student member of the URI Energy Fellows Program who completed a full year internship with the company. We subsequently hired him as a full-time employee! If you walk through our offices today, you are likely to see several interns working in various departments, some from the URI Energy Fellows Program and others who are enrolled in college-level engineering programs. Through the URI Energy Fellows Program students attend events pertaining to renewables, examine process and trends on sites, and gain valuable experience working in the energy sector. In addition, the program promotes local renewable efforts and fosters the next generation of renewable energy employees.
Charitable Donations & Sponsorships
Green Development takes pride in giving back to the Rhode Island community in any way that we can. Our donations have benefited causes like the Special Olympics R.I., S.M.I.L.E., the Rainbow Race, and other local organizations. Through our involvement with them, we have established additional relationships and connections with other local charities, youth sports teams, and organizations dedicated to education and career exploration.
